The Peninsula Indivisible and Middle Peninsula Progressives will sponsor a Stand Up! Rally in Williamsburg, VA at Williamsburg Players, 200 Hubbard Lane on February 20th from 11am – 2pm. The purpose of the rally is to share information, highlight social and political issues that impact Hampton Roads communities, and solicit support for potential action items to combat current governmental actions we believe are dangerous to the survival of our cherished democracy. The event will consist of free music and guest speakers. Some of the speakers include: Susan Platt – Lieutenant Governor of Virginia candidate, Marklyn Louis with Planned Parenthood, Elly Boehmer with Environment Virginia, Deputy Political Director for Tom Perriello, VA Governor candidate, Josh Stanfield with Activate Virginia, CNU professor, Johnny Finn, and Jen Tierney with JCC Democrats. Musical acts include Carolyn August and The Lovecats.
